Meet your Optometrist: Dr. Song Kim

Dr. Song Kim graduated from University of Toronto with an undergraduate degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering before completing her degree in Optometry from University of Waterloo. During her academic years, she received J. Pat Cummings Scholarship from the American Academy of Optometry for her commitment to practicing the ideal standards of eye care as well as for her academic and extra-curricular achievements.

Dr. Kim has had extensive experience working with patients from all walks of life. She has recently authored a paper from her three years of research, working with kids with special needs at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. She has also led and participated in mission trips to Jamaica, Haiti, and Peru. She is currently serving as a co-founder of Musicians without Borders Canada, helping to alleviate poverty local and abroad. Outside of her work, she loves to oil-paint, read, and attend eye care-related webinars.
